The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is one of the most used English language tests in the world. The test is intended to establish the level of English of non-native speakers of English. The Institutional Testing Programme (ITP-TOEFL) has been developed especially for educational purposes and has been running at VU University Amsterdam since September 2009. This is an institutional test. As such, its results can only be applied within the university.
